Al Jazeera English - Americas - Disputes over Haiti aid control
The United States might very well be advancing its agenda in Haiti. Obviously, reconstruction calls for huge investments to be made. Needless to say that at this point business-savvy people are keeping a very close eye on developments not to mention putting pressure on their governments and lobbyist for a share of the big big big pie that is to be served as soon as the clean up efforts are done and the death stench is sanitized.
However it is done, since we have no say, hopefully they will have the interests of the people close at heart and spare no efforts to literally rebuild the country by promoting reforestation, education and basic structure for all in that society.
