Analyzing Haiti's history of hardship

Al Jazeera

"Haiti's fate as one of the poorest countries in the hemisphere has not been inevitable. It's history has been marked not only by natural disasters, but by political and economic conflict. It is a story of international intervention that has left the country particularly vulnerable. Al Jazeera's Avi Lewis reports. (14 Jan 2010)"

  1. Wow it's refreshing to hear something from a non-US perspective. I must use something from them for my own blog.

  2. They have great reporting, Curious. Except that at the end of the day if you keep watching them too much you have a feeling you want to rise in rebellion. As many sources as possible and the Internet is helping us with that.

  3. A different perspective never hurts and their report on Haiti rings very true. Al Jazeera isn't a standard news reporting agency followed in the US, so I'm sure it would be an enlightening perspective for most new viewers.

  4. I like them, guys. They are actually the voice of the south in a way.
